Happy Birthday

Today, I'm going to share a couple of birthday cards. I have 2 grandsons with birthdays in December. They are at the age (12 & 13) where 'kid' cards are not appreciated and yet, they aren't old enough for the 'manly' cards of an adult. So, I pulled out Gorgeous Grunge. I didn't think I liked this set when I received it at convention, but, found it's perfect for those male 'tween' cards. I also used some tags from the Tag a Bag accessories kit.

The one on the left uses Gumball Green and Smoky Slate, the on the right is Bermuda Bay and Smoky Slate. You can't really see it, but the one on the right was also embossed with the Stripes embossing folder. Thanks for stopping by today. Happy Stamping!

Have Yourself a Merry

These are the cards that we did at my Christmas card class last weekend. I just love the card kits! Makes my life so much easier with everything included (except the adhesive) and already cut!

This one uses the directions directly in the kit.

This one is 'stepped up' a bit.

Our Christmas card Shoebox swap was supposed to be held today, but Mother Nature had a different idea. We got some more snow last night into this morning. But, this is the card I was going to share. It also uses kit pieces along with other items.

FALL....or is it Winter?

Even though the ground outside my window is covered with the 'white stuff', I wanted to share with you the banner I finally finished yesterday for FALL. It was inspired by a banner made by Rose Castillo and shared on our demonstrator sample site.

I used Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry and Early Espresso inks. Also used some retired buttons and ribbon. The leaves were die cut (from a Sizzix die I had in my stash)and sponged. With the white stuff on the ground, guess I should get busy and get my Winter/Holiday banner completed!

Here are a few cards I've been working on for birthdays. Now that this one has finally arrived at it's destination, I can share with you. This was made for my 'bestest friend'. She loves the color combo of pink and black, so I used Melon Mambo and the Modern Medley DSP. Added a little bling with the Silver Glimmer Paper. This was made using the Label Thinlits Card Dies and used Dawn Oleshefke's video on YouTube to make an extended card, so I could add the inside sentiment.



This card is a male birthday card I made for a friend of ours who just moved to Texas. I used Early Espresso, Tangerine Tango, Very Vanilla and Old Olive cardstock. The ribbon is retired. I also used the Stylish Stripes embossing folder.
